This is a dog friendly cottage on a private lane in PortinscaleThe cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms and benefits from lovely views to Derwentwater and to the Newlands ValleyThe cottage has an interesting layout with bedrooms on the ground floor, split level mezzanines and picture windows in the main living rooms to make the most of the viewThe conservatory is off the sitting room boasts a beautiful view towards Catbells and a door opens into the garden which backs on to fields and farm land.
The garden enjoys a peaceful aspect with beautiful views and features well established trees and several patio areas Portinscale is a small village on the edge of DerwentwaterThere is a large marina where you can hire boats or launch your ownIn the centre of the village is a delightful tearoom that transforms into a restaurant by nightThere also is a good village pub that serves food, local ale and is dog friendly.
Keswick is a short stroll away over a pleasant footpath with views to Skiddaw and Walla CragThere are plenty of great walks straight from the door either down to the lake or into the Newlands ValleyThe entrance is via the front door into a small hallway with coat hooksAn inner hallway leads to a single bedroom with inbuilt hanging space.
